A Place for Every Goodbye

Honoring the grief of endings, relationships, hopes, truths, health, and the ache of change.

Elizabethton, Tennessee

Service Description

A Place for Every Goodbye: Grief & Loss A gentle, reflective equine assisted learning experience offering space to honor grief, release what weighs heavy, and reconnect with inner steadiness. This program draws from On Grief and Grieving, Midwife for the Souls, Praying Our Goodbyes, and the poem Wild Geese to support participants in naming, feeling, and integrating their losses with compassion and presence. Grief takes many forms. Not all goodbyes are the death of a person — loss can be the passing of an animal, the end of a marriage, estrangement from family, the fading of dreams or goals, changes in health or identity, or the painful unraveling of a belief system that once offered meaning or safety. This session honors the full spectrum of human loss with tenderness and respect. 1 Hour Session A focused, grounding experience offering quiet reflection, gentle guidance, and a supportive interaction with the horse. Best for 1–2 participants. 2 Hour Session A deeper, more spacious session that includes ritual elements, reflective practices, and extended time with the horse for emotional processing and renewal. Best for groups of up to 4. Designed for adolescents and adults seeking a safe, steady place to explore grief, transition, or change. Book through HighlandsHorseAndHealing.org or find us on Airbnb Experiences. ________________________________________ 5 Session Series (Website Only) A tender, guided journey through grief and loss, offered as a 4 session Zoom series with an optional 5th session in person with the horse at Idyll Heart Farm. Each session is 1 hour and builds gently on the last, weaving together reflection, ritual, spiritual grounding, and embodied practices inspired by the texts above. This series is available exclusively through www.HighlandsHorseAndHealing.org What you can expect after booking: An email with detailed information: location / directions, what to wear, weather and cancellation policy.
